How do I set my web browser home page to the Developmental Psychology Portal? This portal is designed to load quickly and be free of ads and clutter. It includes forms and links to quickly find information on the web. It also includes links of general interest to Developmental Psychologysts.
There are different directions depending on what type of computer you are using (e.g., Macintosh, PC) and what web-browser you are using (e.g., Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator).
Whichever directions you need to follow, you will need to type http://www.devpsy.org/developmentalpsychology.html into a field. To make that easier, you can copy the following and paste it into the field:
The forms on the Developmental Psychology portal page work just like the forms on their respective pages. I looked at the HTML on the respective pages and modified their forms for this page. This allowed me to make text-only versions with preferences I felt were particularly useful. For example, if you search using the Google form on this page, it will give you 25 results per page and when you click on the results' links they open in a new window. Some of the websites, like Google, give you special instructions for how you can put their searches on your own site. Below are versions of the same forms with graphics.
